A job card is the record of one piece of work in a workshop: who the customer is, what item was brought in, what needs doing, what it is estimated to cost, what was done, and the customer's signature agreeing to it. It travels with the item while it is in the workshop.
At least a job number, the customer's name and contact number, the item and how to identify it, the work requested, an estimate, the parts and labour used, the date in and date due, and a signature line with your terms. A tear-off tag with the job number makes sure the item and the card never get separated.
